Plans & Permissions
Plans & Permissions
Access to features in Tourbox is governed by two things working together: the plan your organisation subscribes to, and the permissions each member has within the organisation.
Plan tiers
Tourbox is offered in tiers (typical names: Starter, Pro, Business). Each tier unlocks additional capabilities:
- Starter: Core pipeline, basic finance, communications, dashboard, and standard reports.
- Pro: Adds the form builder, advanced finance features, additional reports, and most AI features.
- Business: Adds custom report builder, currency contracts, advanced integrations, and higher AI usage limits.
Plan-specific features show a callout inline in the docs and a "Pro" / "Business" badge in the UI. To view or change your plan see Billing.
Permissions
Within a plan, what each member can do is controlled by their role and granted permissions. The permission system covers areas such as:
Capability
---
Inviting, editing, and removing members; assigning roles.
Viewing and changing the subscription plan and payment method.
Connecting/disconnecting Vamoos, email providers, payment integrations, etc.
Editing itineraries on bookings.
Editing knowledge base content.
Managing the media library.
Admins typically have all permissions. Members get a subset appropriate to their job (e.g. sales has pipeline access, finance has finance access).
Items the current user does not have permission to view are hidden from the sidebar, list filters, and detail pages.
Multi-organisation membership
A user can be a member of multiple organisations. Permissions are scoped per organisation: being an Admin in one organisation does not grant any access in another. Use the organisation switcher to move between them.
Audit and accountability
Most state changes in Tourbox record who performed them and when. This appears on detail pages (e.g. "Confirmed by Alice on 12 May 2026") and in the per-record timeline. Action authorship is preserved even if a member later leaves the organisation.
Requesting access
If a feature is hidden for you, you may not have permission for it on the current plan, or your role may not include the relevant permission. Contact an organisation admin to adjust your role.
